How can I change my WhatsApp phone number?

Otherwise, you have a few options to update your phone number in WhatsApp, depending on whether this is a permanent or temporary change.

1. If you are permanently changing phone numbers, you can delete your WhatsApp account and then verify your new number.

2. If you are planning on using your old number in the future, or you do not wish to delete your account, you can delete and reinstall WhatsApp. Simply deleting the application will not delete the account tied to your previous number. Once reinstalled, you can verify your new phone number.
